Verse color code

(On True Pathways)

You might have noticed by now that certain sentences from Bible verses are colored with many different colors on this site. If you’re wondering what these different colors mean; the colors on this site are used to represent who is taking in the verse and to clarify who the words are coming from.

This is a key showing which colors represent who and why the colors are given to the certain speaker most colors have a Biblical association with the speaker and that is why their quotes are associated with a certain color (Biblical explanation for colors coming soon):

Who said it?

main keys

Human(s) speaking: Red because humans are associated with blood and blushing

God speaking: blue because God's authority and commands to humans are often associated with the sky:

Exodus 24:10-11

“GodUnder his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky

Human prophets speaking for God: God speaking is blue and to show a human is repeating what he (supposedly) has said the words have a light red highlight over them to show it's like God is speaking but instead it's indirectly through a human.

Jesus speaking: Purple because human is red (fully human) and blue is God (fully God) mixed together their purple (royalty).

Holy Angel(s) speaking: golden because angels often are said to glow with light

Animal(s) speaking: green because animals are often associated with earth/forest

Demons (s) speaking: dark green because their evil, and green (especially dark) is associated with evil

Narrator/author speaking/writting: Black because it is the main narrating or writing of author

Other Keys

Past quotes: Italics to mark past quotes that someone is referring to (past quotes are in the color of who was originally speaking/writing them)

The Author(me) Inserting a pronoun or more information about a verse's meaning: [in brackets] to show these words were not originally part of the verse ,but in context is what is meant in the verse.

The Author(me) inserting extra/more detailed information about a word/subject in the verse:(in black parentheses) to show this information in the parentheses was not originally apart of the verse but was added by the author(me) to add more detail to the original verse. (If parentheses are colored then it was originally in the verse)

three or more periods:... before, between, and after sentences in verse means there is some words in the original verse that were skipped before, between, and/or after the verse because it did not necessarily pertain to the lesson/article at the time.

A List consistently being presented: If a list is repeatedly being presented in an article while adding new words onto that list will appear in normal black type while the old things on the list will be slightly faded out to point out the newer items on the list
